How do we get started?

Getting to know YOU

 

Typically, after a friendly call or email introduction about us and any opportunities you may be interested in, we have a "get to know you" conversation. We ask specific questions relating to your current employment situation, academic background, work history, experience, career/personal goals, geographic preferences, etc. If you don't want your current employer to know when you are looking to make a move, trust us to keep your job search confidential.

As your advocate to potential employers, this first conversation is one of the most important!

Resume Help

We know how vital your resume is!

 
The hiring company is comparing you to potentially hundreds of other candidates. Your resume is their FIRST IMPRESSION of you, at least "on paper."

We can offer advice and suggestions on how to maximize this first impression. We can also help with stylistic or substantive recommendations where necessary.

If you haven't had to update your resume in a while, don't worry! We are familiar with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and how they work. We can help you construct your resume so that it is ATS-friendly.

Interviewing skills are among the most important things a candidate can have when attempting to be hired. The resume can be great, but being unprepared during the interview can be costly! We always do a thorough "interview prep session" with you before any interview.

Maybe you haven't had to interview in over ten years, or perhaps you would like a refresher. Ensuring you are fully prepared and confident for the interview, whether virtual or in-person, is our goal!

After the Interview

Once the interview is over, it doesn't stop there!

 

We want to get your thoughts on how it went, the feedback you received, did you get answers to your questions, and discuss what to do for the following interview.

Sometimes a candidate is offered the position after the first interview. However, this is not the norm. Often the hiring process can go into two or even five rounds. Each round is crucial, and we offer guidance every step of the way.

Rejections happen, and if they do, we will be there to make it a learning experience so that the next opportunity has a positive outcome!
